Through the end of the year, LMA is counting down the best ideas for 2018.
There’s a lot of “whiz-bang” new video technology out there, but where can local media get started and generate real revenue?
For inspiration, check out how the Summit Daily News uses 360 video for branded content. For the Breckenridge film festival – BreckFilmFest – they created an immersive experience for users to step inside the actual theater, simulating the festival experience from multiple vantage points.
The content lives on the Daily News website, and is also shared out to the advertiser’s website and social platforms. Plus, supporting video promotion elevates awareness of and engagement with the 360 video.
The newspaper is driving real dollars with this program, and is extending it into additional business categories.
