LMIA Report: Digital Subscriptions
Many newspapers, as well as niche sites such as The Athletic and The Street, have adopted a digital subscription model. In this 12-page report, LMA President Nancy Lane identifies the top 5 trends that all of the successful companies are employing. These are backed by examples from nine different media companies.
“A playbook is definitely emerging in this space,” said Lane. “We are seeing success from national papers and top 15 metro dailies, along with some digital-only sites. We’re not sure if this represents a sustainable business model in smaller markets, but we are encouraged by the progress that is being made.”
