The beta partner profiles: Gannett

Describe your initiative, what you see as the strongest elements of your program, and what makes it unique:

We will develop a repeatable prototype that acts as a catalyst for Native revenue through a templated program involving three well-defined activities: sales training, sales incentives, and a business seminar. This Native Ignite program will have a cost structure involving travel into a market, sales incentives, marketing costs, and costs of hosting an event. The goals are to educate reps, reward immediate activity, build a sales pipeline, and close business, all leading to a measurable revenue outcome that is multiples of the expense outlay.

Branded content is an important revenue opportunity for media groups and advertisers because … there is direct alignment with our core competency of producing compelling content and driving an audience to that content.

Branded content is an important revenue opportunity for media groups and advertisers because …

there is direct alignment with our core competency of producing compelling content and driving an audience to that content. The credibility of our publications that has been developed over many years of publishing in our communities is a core value proposition that we offer to advertisers and was identified as the #1 thing that content marketers look for when selecting a media partner to work, according to a study published in Jan 2019 by World Media Group, “The future of global content-led marketing”

The aspect of the Branded Content Project Beta Group that excites us the most is …

exploring opportunities to unleash even more potential from an already growing product.

We hope to learn [fill-in-the-blank] through the Branded Content Project:

how to make the most of our current capabilities and what to start incorporating into our product development timeline

If a media organization were just starting to sell branded content, we would tell them …

it’s a product that grows exponentially. It might be slow to start but once you get a couple of campaigns under your belt and train your sales people, get ready for it to take off.
